Growing up in Madison, Wisconsin with a scientist father (he was a cancer researcher who discovered CLA – congicated linoleaic acid), my feet were planted very firmly in the logical, rational, mental side of things.
But, a part of me yearned for the mystic. The magic. The fantasy.
Now, as a fiction author, my inclination was to save the creativity for my novels and go back to the “rational” (aka “boring”) world when I put my business hat on.
Needless to say, that notion drained my excitement around owning my own business.
What I’ve since discovered is that, if you’re open to it, you can find magic everywhere. Even in an eclipse.
On my fiction blog, I share a story about how the August 2017 sun eclipse completely shifted my fiction writing.
