[Video] Flip It! Why Resistance Is Your Best Friend

June 10, 2018 by Michele PW 1 Comment

During a recent interview on my Love-Based Money podcast, Shellie Nelson who owns a business called Soul Readings, said that your transformation is rooted in your biggest resistance.

Put another way:

The change you’re most resisting holds the key to unlocking your transformation.

Causes you to think, doesn’t it? And it’s sort of depressing too, because who wants to face the change they’re most resisting?

But, here’s the thing — every time I’ve faced and worked through my biggest resistance, the world changed.

Resistance shows up differently for everyone. For me, it most shows up as procrastination. Every time I’m getting ready for a big uplevel in my business, I’d start to feel overwhelmed. And, the more overwhelmed I’d feel, the more I’d procrastinate.

But, once I put two and two together, and realized that my procrastination was rooted to my resistance, I was able to use my procrastination as a “tell.” When I found myself procrastinating, I knew that was when I most needed to be taking action (and feeling my feelings). As difficult as it was.

However, that may not be the case for you. For instance, if you’re a workaholic, you might find what you’re most resisting is stopping. Just pausing and breathing and not always DOING something.

Or, your resistance could be showing about around taking a certain action. Like maybe you have a fear around being visible, so, for you, taking steps to be seen, like accepting interview or speaking requests, is the next step.

What I love to encourage all of you is to look around your life and business and see what you’re most resisting and decide to do it anyway. Never mind if it feels like something that won’t help you make more money or grow your business.

Just do it anyway.

Do it, feel whatever is coming up for you, don’t allow your feelings to derail you, and see what happens on the other side.

You may be amazed at the transformation that happens.

Why resistance if your best friend. #FlipIt
